With Love--By Peter Dome--United Kingdom

With Love

Swirling patterns of iridescent colours
Of yellow red green and blue
Illuminated light
Of every shade and hue.

A kaleidoscope toy
Bringing wonder and excitement
To a young child's eyes
A present from Grandma and Granddad
One happy content child

Hi, my name is Pete. I live in Sheffield, U.K. I hope you enjoy my poems. I look forward to reading yours. My best wishes. Pete.

  9. Pete,
Love the poem, but you couldn't wait until I published your poem in my print mag before sending it here? By the way, I will use this in September's issue.
Your friend, efore you submitted it here? Will cite proper credit to Whispers, of course. Specifically I like the child-like innocence in the poem Good job!

  11. Ahh, Peter. You reminded me of the first time I looked into a kaleidoscope. It was like a magical telescope in which you could view other dimensions. Excellent write!

Very touching, Peter. So simple and sweet. It is as though a tear were being suppressed behind the words. Very moving.
