Flipping
between being and not being
a
pot lid rattles with escaping steam.
Rainy
day confinement sometimes clouds memory,
jumbles
the metaphors of what is wanted.
Our
cat’s yellow eyes glow from
my
folded sweater. I scratch her chin,
appreciate
her presence.

Greg,
ReplyDeleteI liked this, especially the cat reference, as I love cats. I have a cat figurine collection of about 200, they're better than real cats, no need to fed them or change a litter box...lol

Dear Greg,
ReplyDeleteAs a person who likes cats. My cat (Zara) is good company, too!
