To Drain the Pain
Folks go insane trying to drain that pain
A pill popping, trumped pain relief chain
Doctor prescribed codeine, a relief cane
Ritalining up active kids, to calm a vein
What the medical practice has, is plain
We come to think our pain will refrain
Magic words gone, our pain, we retain
Assuring us our pain will always remain
In this medical practice, proof is insane
Just flush that pain, irrigate it with a rain
Of vitamins & minerals & pain will drain
With the pain gone one can now be sane

Hi Yancy,
ReplyDeleteA timely poem written about the quick fixes that some medical practices take instead of taking the time to find out what real problem is and finding a better solution to them. Well written!
Sandra
I really liked the solution for draining the pain. Thank you for your satirical poem. Well written and so true.
