New!--Special Feature Collaborative Poem--By Sharon Weimer and Karen O’Leary--United States

kindred spirits

By Sharon Weimer and Karen O’Leary—United States

butterflies bind
our hearts as one...
on wings our words
flow, hoping to help
the wounded arise

through storms
confused and blind
we find each other
hands reaching
connecting...

    1. Dear Shar,

Thank you so much for your kind words. What a joy to capture our friendship in "kindred spirits." We rise through challenges and still rise again. That's what true kinship is all about. It's not just glitz and glitter. I'm so glad to have be able to share our words together. I hope you will consider taking part in one or more of our Whispers' activities for January.

      Love,
      Karen

  13. Karen & Sharon; each of your words that mingled with the other is a gift to all eyes that seek solace through reading (such as mine) and through your offering of "kindred spirits", I regain equilibrium until I need another dosage which during this season that negatively affects me with a humongous heaping of discombobulation until it's done with, is far too often. Thank you for the warmth that suffused over me as I read this delightfully stirring collaboration.

    1. Dear Leslie,

It is a sad time for many--bringing the pain of losses, being alone, etc. My illness has made it impossible to travel to my extended family celebration. They know that I'm there in spirit. They hope they can set up a teleconference so I can say hi. What a blessing that would be.

My thoughts and prayers go with you, hoping this season won't hurt as much as in the past.

      Blessings,
      Karen
