whispers...editor's thoughts--By Karen O'Leary--United States

whispers…
kaleidoscope
of dreams

To My Whispers’ Friends,

I miss you.  This three-line poem encompasses much about the talented and caring people I’ve come to know in the four years I have been blessed to share with you.  Our journal has surpassed my dreams when this North Dakota gal opened it in 2013.  That’s a tribute to all of you.

It’s so good to read poetry by many of you in other venues—books, anthologies, journals, etc.  That was one of my goals for Whispers.  Words are meant to be shared.  Thank you for the cards, books, words of encouragement, invitations to share my words… I can’t even explain how much it means to me.

Wishing everyone the best.  Happy Writing!

Blessings,

Karen

    1. Dear Gert,

Many of my dearest friends I have never met in person. You are one of them. Thank you for your ongoing support.

I'm tossing around some ideas that could allow Whispers to continue without the daily publication that isn't in my realm any more.

      Blessings,

      Karen

  18. I am so very backwards with my mail, Karen, but I singled this one out and gave it priority over the others. You have worked hard on Whispers, and reaped the desired fruit. What a pity that you had to cut your wonderful work short. As far as I am concerned I will never forget your words of encouragement and sincere friendship. God bless you...paul

  19. Dear Paul,

Whispers is going to move on, maybe not in the day to day manner. I still think our poetry family has a place to live and grow. Stay tuned for the September Activity.

    Blessings,
    Karen
