The Violin--By Leokadia Durmaj--Australia

The Violin

Play her like a melody,
Inhale the sweetness
you envisage, breathlessly;
caressing every thought.
Hear the soft whispers
dance within the silence
of your heart and soul,
Awaken the passion,
destined to ignite the fire,
allowing to burn slowly
like glowing embers,
just like the stars above,
Let the dance of love begin.

Leokadia Durmaj is a published writer from Australia.

  1. Oh thank you, thank you Leokadia! Your wonderful poem was just what I needed to read this afternoon. The words awakened in me thoughts of my own "dance of love with Jesus", that has begun late in life. I always loved Him, believed in Him and tried to serve Him to the best of my ability, but I danced solo and for my own glory. I am now dancing with Him for His glory. He leads and I follow. I am on fire with love for Him, now understanding just how loving, kind and patient He is while I learn some different steps, no easy waltz, but a difficult tango. :)

I am sure you had other thoughts in mind when you wrote this poem but God allowed your words to touch my soul with a deeper understanding for me personally.
Your talent is greatly appreciated and the poem a blessing and God sent.
    .Love, Charlene

    1. Thank you Charlene for the beautiful comment, I understand how your thoughts captured and evolved about the love you have for Jesus. I love the violin ever since I was a child. It holds such beauty in every melody that transpires from the player to the instrument. There is so much beauty in Jesus love for us that touches our heart and soul, I am so pleased my poem touched yours. Blessings sent with love, Leokadia

  2. Lee, your poem is so precious! The violin is such a lovely instrument and must be partnered with a loving and giving soul who "feels" its total essence! I am honored to read you! I am even more thrilled it is in the confines of Whispers! God bless my sweet friend! Sheri /

  3. Dear Leokadia,
You are definitely one who has been blessed with great passion and love. In relationships we strive to please one another, but even more, we receive blessings in return when we feel the sweet melody of love and our embers are awakened. Quite a meaningful, passionate write!

    2. Love your poem. The violin is a beautiful instrument as a soul that becomes the temple of the Lord. God's music soothes, comforts and reaches out to bless others, as the melodic strings of a fine-tuned violin. Thanks for your blessing!

    3. Thank you Christine for your beautiful comment in review. We are indeed blessed by God's love in all its forms. Blessings sent with love, Leokadia

    4. Leokadia, I am imagining the strokes and soothing melodies of a violin being played as I read your poem. Very nice imagery in connection with the harmonically-written words of the poem. Thanks for sharing. Continued blessings!
