Memorial Day Rain--By Cynthia Smothers Carter--United States

Memorial Day Rain

Rain...again...
But I have come to the conclusion that
it has always rained on Memorial day
and I have figured out why.

The rain is the tears of all our fallen
Soldiers past, present and future.
Thank You for Your service and the
ultimate sacrifice You have made for
our freedom!
Let it pour today!

Cynthia Smothers Carter live in Texas. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant. This poem is her first effort.  Her Aunt Shirley Smothers is very proud of her.

  2. Those of us who get rain are really blessed, but the world seems to be a little topsy turvy right now weather-wise and other-wise........ Nice poem, Cynthia. If you are new to Whispers, welcome! Sheri

Great poem and a big welcome to you (or "Howdy!", as you'd probably say in TX).
