Haiku--By Arvinder Kaur--India

at home
the chrysanthemums bloom and fade-
hospital silence
_______________

soldier's homecoming -
mother hums a lullaby
one last time
_______________

the same sand
where all my castles  fell -
homecoming
_______________

long distance call -
chirp by chirp the sounds
of childhood
_______________

wheat stalks-
someone calls me
by a forgotten name
_______________
