Hungered--By Tammy Manikas--United States

Hungered

Longing for the day, you'd show your presence.
My whole life, for you I have waited, and dreamt.
Thoughts of all, I had hoped you would be.
The caring you will show, the love I would see.

Lips that are not afraid to speak.
How your love for me, makes you weak.
When under your spell, I am unable to stand.
Arms strong enough, to take command.

Sharp eyes that see down to my soul.
Healing me and making me whole.
With a dreamer’s beautiful mind.
Knowing only loving words, so kind.

Strength found from within.
My heart, I knew, you would win.
The broken pieces pulled together.
Safe here with you, always and forever.

Have hungered, for this kind of love.
Sent to me, on the wings of a dove.
Will hold on tight and never let go.
Happiness I will finally know.

Tammy Manikas enjoys writing as a way to express raw emotions, in the hopes it can help heal the wounds felt by so many. She resides in the great state of Michigan.  Tammy enjoys fishing and the great outdoors, being connected to nature.  Her greatest hope is that one of the poems will be turned into a song to be enjoyed by many.

I dare say you're feeding well into your desire to have a poem set to music as you've proven so eloquently with this love song.
