One Line Haiku--By Chen-ou Liu--Canada

snowflakes on my left on my right her crimson lips

the sound of spring rain on top of our moaning

her face in our cracked bedroom window blue moon

day after the blizzard her razor-sharp words

cold snap breaking down thoughts of my ex

  1. Wow! What a poignant write! I can see why you have been honored with many awards for haiku. Thank you for sharing your talent with us here on Whispers. I enjoyed the poem.

  2. Wonderfully expressive Haiku which really bring strong visuals. Excellent! Sheri /

  3. Wow! You are a haiku master. I loved all four of them and can see why you won the first-place prize. To me, haiku are the most difficult form to write, but you did an awesome job. The last one is my favorite as I can relate to it all too well. Awesome work! Best wishes, Carolyn

  4. I love the haiku, mainly for its difficulty. This is superb on so many levels, least of which is I can so relate. Well done. Kristina

  5. Charlene, S. Sta, Carolyn, and Kristina:

Glad my haiku work well for you all.

Many thanks for your encouraging comments.

  6. Hello Chen. Nice haiku. Continued blessings and congratulation on all your literary accomplishments!
