ReplyDeleteWhen I read the first one, I was inspired to write a haiku of my own (sort of; it has a title and doesn't have the turn in the last line), and then when I read the third one (which made me laugh), it really punctuated the theme in the one I wrote. So, here it is:
Star-Crossed Lovers
You and I are two
parallel lines that never
found a way to meet….

ReplyDeleteShalom Rita, I have thoroughly enjoyed all of these 5 haiku! Each a wonderful set of juxtaposing images, with lovely understated structure and ample room for the reader to imagine to. All brought me in the here and now, which is the kind of ku after my own heart. I am definitely going to check out your books, and recently released title "Buds of Dream" especially :) Thank you for sharing your heart...
