A Christmas Prayer--By Connie Marcum Wong--United States

A Christmas Prayer

A glowing Yuletide candle light
Is burning very, very bright

For all our soldiers far away
Spending Christmas a soldier’s way.

Dreaming of home and holiday cheer,
Wishing that their loved ones were near.

We are at home dreaming dreams too,
While thinking of and praying for you.

Look for some gifts to let you know
That the great sacrifices you bestow

In blessing us with freedom and care
Is especially returned in loving prayer.

Please know that the Lord is with you,
Giving you courage in all that you do.

Merry Christmas to our soldiers so dear,
May you share it safe at home next year!

  1. Connie,
A beautiful poem. May the troops never be forgotten, no matter where they are from or where they are serving.
