haiku--By Gert W. Knop--Germany

Im frühen Morgenlicht
Der Tau auf hellen Gräsern
So einsam leuchtend

Early morning light
The dew on bright green grass
So solitary shining

En la luz de la mañana
El rocío sobre la hierba clara
Tan solo está brillando

  1. Dear Gert, it's so nice to find you here. Your description of sun on the dewy grass is lovely, my friend. I read the German one first and was able to translate the first line and part of the second. Thanks to you, I am learning new languages. Do you also speak French? I've missed you. Much love always, Carolyn Devonshire

  2. I must make more of a habit of being out in the early morn. Delightful poem. Would love to hear the different translations. Ralph.

  3. Morning is clearer than day. Nothing like it - although I hate to admit I'm more of a morning pillow dreamer.

  4. Thank you, Jack Horne, for the following comment--

have missed your lovely haiku, Gert
