Joe
Before we met that winter day,
The world was empty, sad and dull;
His presence took the gloom away
And now my life’s returned to full;
I lost my heart and find it strange
A tiny bird can bring such change.

Dear Jack,
ReplyDeleteLove this poem you wrote about Joe. The unconditional love that pets can bring to one's heart is a gift in itself. So glad you wrote this my friend.
Love Sandra
Dear Jack, you experienced so much loss last winter. It's wonderful that this tiny (albeit rotund as you told me earlier) bird can make such a difference in your life. I love hearing about the adventures of Joe. I bet your Mum has gotten very attached to him as well. Love to you, Mum and Joe, Carolyn D.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Jack!
ReplyDeleteNice poem, Jack. Animals do have such a way of forming a bond with us that brings such joy. Thanks for the reminder.
