Eyes That Are Blind--By Charlene McCutcheon--United States

Eyes That Are Blind

How my heart yearned, truths to infuse
Into stubborn minds that refused
To see all God's simple truths.
Blind youths!

The tears came with fear induced thoughts.
Despairing, are their souls all lost?
But God's truth dried up the drops.
Hope swapped!

Accepting I can't change their minds.
The eye is where it's at, I'd find.
God opened eyes that were blind.
They're mine!

Hi Charlene, Your poem conveyed a strong message. It's a great tragedy not being able to see with spiritual eyes! The Lord opened my eyes back in 1973, and I can't imagine living my life apart from Him. Thanks for a wonderful poem. It speaks volumes! God Bless.

  7. Dear Charlene,
Sometimes people turn a deaf ear (or a blind eye) to things that they don't truly comprehend. I am perplexed by today's youth. With all the computer games, they don't even have time to exercise. As we learn to accept each other's differences, sometimes we can learn from them. Be assured, your eyes are not blind. It's obvious you are a woman whose perceptions are on target and I admire your faith. Thanks so much for stopping by my November poem. Best wishes, Carolyn Devonshire

Here is a poem that reflects on youth's leap into more of the world's earthly living rather than searching out truths of God's love and promise of life here after. Thanks for sharing this poem.
