It Is Raining--By Suchoon Mo--United States

It Is Raining

it is raining
and a little boy is singing
he is singing in the rain
and I don't know why

it is raining
and frogs are singing
they are singing in the rain
and I don' know why

it is raining
and I am going home
I am not singing in the rain
and I don't know why

  1. I love this.( Frogs have the eyes of leaping salmon when it rains here.)Like folded paper the poem expands as it opens. Thanks for sharing; delightful! Ralph

  2. Ah, surely one's mood depends upon whether or not they would "enjoy the rain" - a torrential rain - NOT, perhaps, but a light spring shower is a very beautiful experience! Sheri

Love the mood contrasts in your poem. Nothing like frogs croaking after rain.
