Live On
Survivors stand
among ruins
bravely carry on
where others have fallen
being spared
they hold strong
though vulnerable to changing winds
they draw up inner reserves
bolstering resolve
to greet next generation
teach them
how to endure
when all that is known
has been cut, cleared.
