Special Feature--“Why Whispers Matters?”--By Inge Wesdijk (Daginne Aignend)--The Netherlands and Jack Horne--England

“Why Whispers Matters?”

--First of all, we think Whispers matters because Whispers is a platform where people around the world are united by the love of words in a supportive and friendly way.

--Reading and sharing poetry, commenting on each other's work without negativity.

--Encouragement for every poet's unique way of writing.

--Creed, color, age, gender doesn't matter, anyone who loves the world of words can join us.

--Respect for each other, Whispers is a journal who doesn't accept writing about profanity, erotica, violence or other derogatory themes

That being said, we would like to invite you, contributors and readers, to share thoughts and opinions why Whispers matters to you.

Best wishes,
Inge and Jack

(Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.  Thank you to all the writers and readers that have made Whispers possible.)

    1. Exactly, the love for the written word is our link, if you are published hundreds of times or not it's not important

    1. Especially the different views/styles poets write. You are right that the number of publications or not being published at all is a criterion for Whispers

  5. An RSVP ushered me onto this pavilion,
    black and white with background vermillion;
    this shy and unassuming fellow,
    fell under O'Leary's umbrella;
    ever since I've been Karen's civilian.

    Congratulations to Whispersville and all who call these hallowed halls home.
    Congratulations on a big round number.
    Congratulations on finding friends, who are like minded, supportive, and when needed, conciliatory.
    And most important, congratulations on getting off to such a good start!

  12. Whispers matters to me because it is a place I know I can share my inner most being, without fear of critisism, in a way that causes me to have additional "revelation". In this way I come to know myself better. Writing for Whispers is always a revelatory experience for me. Thank you for the opportunity to know myself better. To know myself is to love myself.

    1. Sweet Charlene, your words are straight from the heart and you touched mine. They say if you can't love yourself you won't be able to love someone else. There's some truth in that, if you don't like yourself for whatever reason, negative energy rules and you can't give love.
      I look forward to some of your 'revelation' poems

    2. Dear Charlene,

      It is a joy to have you continue to share in the Whispers journey. Your encouragement gives others a chance to blossom. Your insight about the inner self is so true--the love of self is not arrogant, but it does set the stage for inner growth. Thank you for your ongoing encouragement, my friend.

      Blessings,

    The outpouring of words is something thank you cannot accomplish. It is such a joy to share the gift of poetry with writers all over the world.

    I am in awe of your thoughts, my friends. The friendship, the encouragement and respect that flow to connect us in a creative spirit. Words can't be shared with the same colored ink. Thank you all so much for supporting the family we have become.

  16. For me, the poetry is automatic. What warms my heart about Whispers is the community it has blossomed into....a community of friends and family, who contribute some of the most rewarding and heart-felt poetry I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Thank you, Karen. Thank you, Inge. Thank you, Jack. And thank you to all those who contribute and are a part of Whispers, present, past, and in the time going forward. Thank you all and may the good Lord continue blessing you and yours!
