Thoughtless
My friend tried to get into my head
To see what makes me tick.
She took a broom to sweep
Through cobwebs
And reclined on a couch,
Flushed a commode
And checked to see if there were
Bats in the belfry.
Dust had collected and sneezes
Erupted-
Leaving flowing lava.
There was nothing to be
Found except
Traces of
What was once
An imagination.
