Whispers of Love--By Leokadia Durmaj--Australia

Whispers of Love

Within the bounds of love
There is joy and sadness there,
Captured in the stars above
An Angel’s hands are joined in prayer.

Tears that fall from heaven
In a veil of mist divine,
They are the sacred tears of pain
Of a love that still remains.

Two gentle spirits
Once joined together
Beautiful and pure,
Lost in memories forever
Of a time that is no more.

Now their journeys of love is over
All the sorrow is left behind.
Only whispers do remain
Within the echo of the mind!

  1. Hello, Lee! How are you, friend? Do you have a new baby in the house yet? If so, congrats! on that. Your poem is sentimentally beautiful and makes me look back at all the memories, good and sad, that have built up in my heart and soul. Things change, we all know that, the trick is to go with the flow and sometimes that is hard to do. Lovely write, my friend! Don't stay away so long! Sheri / www.poetryandbeyond.net

    1. Thank you Maurice, I appreciate your kind and caring comment. We shared so much together, it took a long time to get over his senseless death. I was young at the time so it was much harder to accept. Blessings always, Leokadia

  7. Leokadia, I always look forward to reading your poems. They are very special and deeply heartfelt I can tell. Death of a loved one never comes easy but when you are young and the death is senseless it is even much harder. God bless you and thank you for sharing your great talent in such a poignant poem.
