The Sea
The sea
vast as a mother’s love
The sea
stern as an iron glove
Each wave
that is met with sand
God
reaching out to man

Hi John. I am not sure if you are new to Whispers or not, but if you are, Welcome! I enjoyed reading your poem, "The Sea." The sea, and most bodies of water, are so beautiful, relaxing and enchanting. You brought out such a scenic view for us to ponder on. Thank you for sharing and continued blessings!

I like how you compare the sea to both a mother and an iron glove, John. Marianne
ReplyDeleteJohn, I loved your similes; comparing God to the sea. Thank you for sharing your well written poem and talent.

Hi John, Your poem spoke to me because I love the ocean & sense God's presence every time I have the chance to stroll along the shore. Enjoyed reading your inspiring poem. Chris~
