Why?
Mystical halo around the moon
held in tangled arms reaching
drawing a gaze upwards
to a crossroad in the sky
puzzled, they quietly stood
on an island unto itself
shadows emerging on either side
no room left for reason
while the earth continued to turn
in its stunning silence...
