Between Feathers and Freedom

Towers of clouds rise

and plummet the skies

where my heart sings

and freedom rings;

Freedom fliers raise

their wings;

Guided by the compass

and the north star;

wind beneath its wings -

between feathers and

freedom – a moment

of silence – between clouds

heading to the horizon

whispering sounds of hope.
