The Spirit of God
Courage walks
in the shadows
of loneliness;
it faces shouts
of self-willed
crowds. But always
it looks ahead
with hope;
it flies
like the spirit
of an eagle,
trusting the wings
of faith; it moves
ever so steadily
toward higher
mountains, building
its nest in the safety
of God’s
watchful eyes.
