~ Butterfly~--By Rick Parise--United States

~ Butterfly~

For now she lies silent
the winds have all but ceased
the ending of relentless rain
has birthed a song of spring

In her silent paradise
protected within emerald boughs
a dream of pastel stirs
within her silken gown

With images alive in flutter
where sparks of growth ignite
this lovely fare virgin
prepares her endless flight

With grace reaching beyond
and subtle hymns in soft sway
this beauty of flights kingdom
escapes to make her way...
