~ Butterfly~
For now she lies silent
the winds have all but ceased
the ending of relentless rain
has birthed a song of spring
In her silent paradise
protected within emerald boughs
a dream of pastel stirs
within her silken gown
With images alive in flutter
where sparks of growth ignite
this lovely fare virgin
prepares her endless flight
With grace reaching beyond
and subtle hymns in soft sway
this beauty of flights kingdom
escapes to make her way...

This is simply a brilliant work of art. You have blended the spark of a butterfly with the grace and beauty of its flight. Great work.
ReplyDeleteRick I love your poem. The words flow in such gentle rythym like the flight of the butterfly. Thank you for sharing your talent.
