meat, poultry, fish, eggs--By Lois Greene Stone--United States

meat, poultry, fish, eggs

Why was food equated
with love?  When
frozen was a fantasy,
and ration books
reality, preparation
seemed to suggest
nurturing.  But
why did I hear
that children were
starving abroad
if I preferred to
ignore what my
mother had spent
several hours
cooking?  Meals
had nothing in
common with
her unconditional
love.

  3. Very good Lois,
I believe food is one of the many ways of a mothers loving nutritional care to those she loves.
