Haiku--By Chen-ou Liu--Canada

distant sirens...
an old man and the scarecrow
in a barren filed
____________

winter sunlight
on the welcome mat …
foreclosure sign
____________
rose branches
weighed down with snow ...
hospice garden
____________

silence between us ...
rain clouds
rising over the sea
