Today, my tears
reach out to the castles at the Empyrean,
where the light is a different illumination
from what the earth receives; where erudite
is the river that beings drink from, finding
what had been sought in just one sip of fate’s
mysteries – a fate that which exists, or had
been a word to sheathe the truisms whispered
into our ears by a guard superior to our soul’s
rambunctious tumults. I reach out to the anthem
of the sky laving upon skies, husked
is my voice that hymns of my severed heart,
calling for cessation; or truancy of the clock,
giving me a new shadow I pride afore the sun
or send me a battle, I saboteur, and you rage
over me – send me your existence, so I feel
mine.

DeleteHey! Nice poem... I like the way the words seemed to snake into each other without the traditional breaks that most poems take. In essence, the enjambment was quite fun for me. You did your play on words well and showed great composure in handling every word...
ReplyDeleteBut well, maybe all I am trying to say is 'Well done. Well written.'
Thank you for the commendation, Su'eddie. I haven't any formal training in writing, so I do most with what little skills I've got =)
