Three Kuhlman Poems--By Brian Strand--England

DESPAIR

From night: dark, black, dawns: the light.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SPRING
Come day: warmth, white, blossoms: at play.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PASSION

From love: lust, pride, nothing : can hide.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3 ‘kuhlman's is a form I derived from the sonnets of Quirinus Kuhlmann (1651-1689) famous sonnet Love-Kisses XL1.The 'kuhlmann' is a short verse form of two phrases, interspersed by three related monosyllabic 'stem words'(nouns,adjectives etc) , separated by commas, between the 'colons ' to form a phrase therefrom.It has One word integral title. Here are my 3 'kuhlmann' for your consideration.
  2. Struggling with these I have to say. Thats because, I was an instant covert to the 'broken monoku' and 'perfect six', no doubt!
    Will get there! Best wishes Ralph.
