one rock drops
many ripples
spread across the river

Such a perfect picture painted with so few words. Love this one! Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteRipples in the water - always such a beautiful thing to see.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this poem which speaks volumes in such few words. As I am sure you know the ripples that leave the point of impact by the rock in a pond and travels to the shore, returns again to the same point only under water. Now I am not sure about a rock thrown in a river. But it all reminds me of a scripture, "For that which ye do send out shall return unto you again, and be restored:" and the words, "what you give you receive".

Short and descriptive....I love it. Thanks Shannon. Blessings to you and continued success with your first-graders. I taught at the elementary level so I know there are some really talented youngsters out there.

Dear Shannon,
ReplyDeleteThe greatest treasures sometimes come in the smallest of packages. Full packed three lines. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree (a worn out phrase - but fits nonetheless).
love,
Kathy
Such truth you speak - simplicity to the finest...
