The
Image of Love
Some
show their love with goodness,
or
express it with joy.
Some
show love in faithfulness,
His
mercy to employ.
Some
show their love in kindness,
it’s
shown with peace so mild.
Its
lives in a meekness,
when
humbled as a child.
True
love comes with gentleness
it
lives within the soul,
and
patience is its genesis,
of
he with self-control.
Who
can these virtues gather,
and
fashion into one?
The
source of love our Father,
the
image is His Son.
Can
we be then made perfect
if
only some we grow?
Can
we become God’s elect
if
we refuse to let love flow?

Beautiful poem Marcus. Yes, "the source of our love, our Father, the image of His Son." Well said. God bless you!
