Friendship’s Beacon--By John Polselli--United States

Friendship’s Beacon

The lighthouse standing firmly on the reef,
Whose steadfast beacon brightens Neptune’s mist,
Affords the sightless mariner relief,
As one who has, through distance, friendship missed,
Unmindful whether infinite or brief.

John Polselli’s poetry has been published in many literary journals and is the recipient of several Editor’s Choice Awards. As a poet, John enjoys composing in all traditional forms including free verse as well as inventing his own.

  1. A friend is that lighthouse! I have enjoyed this piece with its use of metaphorical language.
