I am so grateful to have you in my life. Blessings to all the writers that have graced the pages of our journal and for all the readers that have read and commented on our words.
My health is an up and down ride, so forgive me for any lapses in publishing your poetry or answering your emails. I hope you will continue you be a part of the Whispers' family.
Special thanks to Inge Wesdijk (Daginne Aignend)--The Netherlands and to Jack Horne--England for enabling our Whispers journey to continue. I am grateful that Inge accepted the poem below for publication for November's gratitude theme.
Giving Thanks…
for soul-mates
and friends,
some joining
in my journey
for a season,

When the road
gets tough,
these angels
walk with me.

I am humbled to be forced to stop everything I'm doing at this precise moment after reading what you have written; these profoundly stirring words of yours knocked my ego down mightier than a sword ever could. Thank you for blessing us with your presence online, in our hearts and by our side as we continue to nurture ourselves and each other with the sublime beauty of poetry that comes from our hearts. May our gratitude for your involvement be a healing balm always to be liberally applied every moment you need. Take care, stay well, feel our support and most of all, thank you for providing such sweet enrichment to our lives with "Whispers".
ReplyDeleteDear Leslie,
DeleteYou stopped me in my tracks today too and asked my husband (not a writer) to share in your kind words. I'm a humble gal from North Dakota that has a goal from childhood to make a difference. It's not about me; it's about others a message I need continued reminder of that as I move forward in life's journey.

Thank you dear Karen for showering us with blessings of beautiful words from your generous heart. Whispers has been and continues to be a safe place, a healing place where poets are cherished. That is your gift to the community. It is huge and affirming and ever expanding outward to the world at large.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Dear Mary Jo,
DeleteWhat a gift you are in my life! I especially like that you consider Whispers as a "safe place." Public posting sites have their advantages but your observation is a leery caution. Sad that some of these sites lead to unreal expectations of writing markets. Helping new writers have a voice and established writers giving our journal credibility is such a blessing in my life.
Best wishes to you and all those that have graced that pages of Whispers...
Many blessings,
Karen
I am opting for that lifetime road with you, Karen.
