Opposite of Wishing--By Joan Leotta--United States

Opposite of Wishing

When I pick up morning's newspaper
Before reading, I look out to the still dark sky.
Night's star bright is for wishing;
On morning's star, I place gratitude for life and
hope my day's acts can help heal this hurting world.

Joan Leotta is a writer and story performer. She writes and tells to show the beauty and importance of ordinary moments, ordinary people–living in ordinary and extraordinary times.

  3. In all its succinctness, as compelling an argument for NOT reading the morning paper as I've ever read. Well done, Joan. And Happy Thanksgiving.

    Cordially,

    James
