Opposite of Wishing
When I pick up morning's newspaper
Before reading, I look out to the still dark sky.
Night's star bright is for wishing;
On morning's star, I place gratitude for life and
hope my day's acts can help heal this hurting world.

A great short poem, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIn all its succinctness, as compelling an argument for NOT reading the morning paper as I've ever read. Well done, Joan. And Happy Thanksgiving.
