Loving You
(Terza Rima)
I fell in love with you on a moonlit night
Emotions entwined in passionate embrace
The sky was clear the stars were shining so bright
Our love so strong how fast our hearts they did race
I have lived each moment to love only you
I pray each day that I see your smiling face
Every day it’s my aim in what I do
To endeavour to do the best that I can
Always be loving gentle honest and true
Be by your side at all times when you are wan
I will always try to be a gentle man

ReplyDeleteYou made excellent use of the Terza Rima form to express a love that is pure and enduring. Your lady is lucky to have you in her corner, especially on days when she feels down. Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day together! Best wishes, Carolyn Devonshire
Believe it or not I don't make much of Valentine's day Caroline but I'm pleased you enjoyed my poem as much as you say your kind comments are very much appreciated!!!!

You sure know what a lady likes in a man; gentleness, honesty and true. You expressed well a lovely poem and it awakened increased feelings of love for my sweetheart reminiscing the times he is this kind of man. Thank you for a well written poem.

Hi George. Great poem. I love the sincerity and openness of it. I would be honored if you would consider submitting some poetry to my publication, Creative Inspirations. More information can be found at the TGBTG! Publications website (link below), or you can get my address information from Karen. In reading your bio, I see that we share an interest in instruments. I am learning how to play the guitar and after that I want to learn to play the drums. I hope it goes well for you and hope to hear from you regarding some poetry. Continued blessings!

ReplyDeleteLovely Tersa Rima, friend.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm on a quest. A form called George's Mirrored Hourglass is attributed to George L. Ellison. I am hoping that is you. If so I wish to include the proper specifications and attribution in my blog.
