I have been a long time fan of Ron Moss’ haiku. These haiku are layered and not just mere image painting. I love "the colour of rain" - how do you paint the colour of rain? This leaves a dreaming space for the reader to interpret according to their own personal experience, cultural and social context.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your very kind words, haiku is truly a joy to share and you are right they can have many layers that reveal themselves all the time.
DeleteI am now a fan of yours Ron. I truly enjoyed the read and your talent that is shared here with all of us on Whispers. I appreciated your websites mentioned. I really liked the paintings with the hiaku added. I have not been aware of that medium before. Being an artist and loving to write poetry also, I want to try my hand at that. Thank you for the inspiration.

ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your kind words and I'm pleased you enjoyed the haiku and you are right it is a challenge to get every word in place that packs that punch.
DeleteThe Haiku has always been one of my favorite forms of poetry upon becoming a poet. Simple words, short lines with impressive thoughts for all who read you. Nice work! ...
