New Beginnings
New years resolutions forgotten
Blown away with march winds
Time for a real new beginning
Refreshing April is here at last
Aroma fills air with hope afresh
Inspiring everyone to start anew
Goodbye, boring old way of life
Shinning sun rays, April springs

Hello, Yancy! What a lovely name! I visualize from reading your words that you are elated, as am I, to see spring and summer and new life and fields filled with flowers bursting with wild color! Seemingly, you wave a kind of nostalgic "goodbye" to the cold, yet your exuberance in the season change is obvious and I concur with that! Sheri / www.poetryandbeyond.net
ReplyDeleteHi Yancy. Nice poem. I like the way you have woven the things that proceed the New Year, like looking beyond the promised resolution, the coming of spring and looking forward to new adventures. Thank you for sharing and continued blessings!

Hello Yancy. Thank you for sharing a wonderful and well written poem and my exact feelings about spring and new beginnings. In fact, every morning I awake to what I look forward to as a new beginning. I am so glad God created the night so that upon awakening we can begin anew each day. Nothing like a cold winter's night to make us appreciate the blessing of Spring.

Hi Yancy,
ReplyDeleteThis is a stunning description of the hope that reawakens each spring when flowers and tree leaves return. I don't want to break my New Year's Resolutions, but I can still appreciate the "aroma" of April.
Thank you for sharing this uplifting poem. I'm glad there are so many talented writers like you on "Whispers." What a blessing it is to read and relate to the words of others. Keep writing for us!
Best wishes,
Carolyn
