Special Feature Collaborative Poem--By Kristina Hooper and Robert Hewett Sr.--United States

Safe Harbor

By Kristina Hooper and Robert Hewett Sr.

Your arms enfold me tenderly,
you kiss away my tears;
in your warmth, worries fly,
releasing all my fears.

Each breath upon my tear-stained cheek,
a balm to heal my wound;
you gently lead my heart ashore
no longer left marooned.

Allow my love to anchor you
no more a drifting waif;
sweet vision, pay the storm no mind,
rest easy, you are safe;

True love so rare and seldom found
a lifetime to embrace,
united we withstand each squall,
together face to face.

    I wouldn't begin to know who wrote which verses; your co-write is seamless and beautifully written. How wonderful it is to have a love who is your "anchor" throughout life's storms. Simply Fabulous! Love, Carolyn

  4. Dear Robert and Kristina, I so enjoy this wonderful collaboration. I love romanticism in poetry. Such lovely feeling of peace encountered as tonight I was feeling concern for family members and envisioned in my mind that Jesus was speaking to me through this poem, giving me tender kisses of hope, faith and trust and reminding me of the love unlike any other, that He has for each of us and desires to wipe away all tears. Thank you for this well written poem that brought me comfort.
    Love, Charlene
