Heart in the Clouds
Today God said, “I love you.”
He wrote it in the sky,
Up in a cloud formation
That caught my wandering eye;
A perfect heart formation
Between two clouds that passed.
I tried to take a picture –
It disappeared too fast.
I smiled just a little,
And said, “I love You, too,”
Back to my Heavenly Father,
With heartfelt gratitude;
That He would take that moment
To share His heart with me.
Oh, what a thoughtful Father –
A precious memory.

Lisa! How I adore being witness to God's art in the sky and all around us. I agree there are so many times I wish I'd had my camera with all of the fabulous and creative art everywhere! I mean, everywhere! Thanks for sharing such great creativity here! It is great reading you on Whispers! Seems one meets the nicest and most talented within these rhyming halls! ReplyDeleteThanks for reading and sharing your thoughts, Sheri. It's always great finding others who see God all around them the way I do. He is truly such a wonderfully creative God! There's no end to the inspiration. Looking forward to reading more that He has inspired, here. ~ Lisa
DeleteDear Lisa,
ReplyDeleteYour poem is very artistic! Often I see things in cloud formations -- once I saw an angel and it felt like a gift from God. It's a pity that clouds change so quickly as they drift through the sky, but it is always interesting to watch the way they change. I agree with Sheri. You are in good company on this site where poetry always comes from the "heart." No pun intended :)
Best wishes,
Carolyn
Carolyn, how wonderful to meet a fellow cloud watcher here! I do believe God uses the clouds simply to delight us with His creativity and attention to our whims. He is an awesome God! and we are blessed to be His children. May He continue blessing you with His inspiring words. ~ Lisa
