Ranu in her Sandals--By Ranu Uniyal--India

Ranu in her Sandals

I prefer my sandals without any heels
For me there is no signing of deals
Tripping and Falling I cannot afford
O my feet! look at them - they are so bored
Walk and run I do it all in sandals
High heels and boots are stacked in bundles.
Come and pick them if you need
My feet long for a different breed...

  1. Dear Ranu,
Once you find a comfortable pair of shoes, all of the ones you purchased just for fashion are laid to rest in a shoe graveyard. LOL I love your poem! Thank you for sharing it with us.

    Love,

  9. Ranu, I absolutely loved your humorous poem. What a joy to read and remember why I do not buy shoes very often. For me bare feet or sandals are the most comfortable. One would think I was a Tennessee 'Hill Billy' like my kin folk. However I am just an Arizona Desert Rat that learned to enjoy the feel of the warm sand in my toes. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.
    Love. Charlene

  16. Hi Ranu, Our poor feet take such abuse, it's nice to pamper them & wear proper sandals or shoes. Personally, I love to go barefoot, weather permitting that is. I enjoyed your poem. It made me chuckle! Thanks for sharing....Chris~
