To a Squirrel--By Suzanne Clement--United States

To a Squirrel

Little squirrel in the grass
As I pass
By you today
I see your gray fur
And your brown eyes
While you scamper on the ground.
You were created by the Lord
Who formed you with His word
As He made all the lovely things
Of Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Thank you, God, for squirrels.

Suzanne Clement is a writer from Dover, New Hampshire.

  1. Dear Suzanne,
Your poem has given me a fresh perspective on squirrels! I'm beginning to like them (a little) now.
Blessings,--please give the Whispers' family more poems!
