Men of
Steel
Brave men
do not retreat or cower
From the
threat of an iron shower.
In the
frenzied heat of a spear-din
They find
courage to fight and to win
Having
prayed and put faith in the Lord
They fear
not blood or sleep of the sword!
__________
Notes from our Poetry Editor Inge Wesdijk—
iron shower = rain of spears or arrows during a battle
spear-din = battle
sleep of the sword = death
