Lost Dreams
When mind wanders,
and travels with the soul
thoughts wait for answers.
Abysses there,
where once were forests and life,
now only bare land remains.
Lost like future dreams,
and frozen as autumn leaves
in early winter.

Very ephemeral writing Gert. rgds Brian
ReplyDeleteDear Gert, Very beautiful imagery in this thought-provoking poem. When I look at all the closed malls that remain where forests once grew, I get this feeling of "lost dreams." Brilliant! Love, Carolyn Devonshire
ReplyDeleteDear Gert,
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you portrayed "lost dreams" in your poem and how they end up when one has given up on them. Very thought provoking indeed. Thank you for sharing.
