Way To Go
If it was a hunch and you did it then I bet
You are glad you did without regret
You might think it a guess but it feels good
When you follow your instincts like you should.
if you get more than one premonition
Then you are strong on intuition
With a sixth sense and instinct to know
You must let gut feelings dictate the flow
If you cultivate these gifts given to you
And follow your instincts in all you do
Then you'll be a positive person to find
You don't need others to make up your mind.
You choose your own
Way To Go!

Excellent and wise words herein. We must take those steps on our own to open the doors - and when that happens - voila! it is an exhilarating experience! Great words of advice here....... Sheri
ReplyDeleteVery interesting and enjjoyable write Pat. I kept looking for a hidden meaning but did not find one. Bob
ReplyDeletePatricia, I really loved this poem. Indeed to follow ones own instincts is the best way to live. It reminds me of this quote, "To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." - William Shakespeare
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your talent.

Good write Pat. I use the gut instincts a lot when I don't have instructions to follow. Wonderful flow and rhythm. Enjoyed. Janet
ReplyDeleteSome say you should not rely on 'feelings', but I have followed my gut and my heart all life and it has served me well. Very uplifting words, Pat. Kristina

Hi Patricia. It is good to see your work here at Whispers again. You write such lovely poetry. Sometimes our "hunches" are what causes us to react to certain things, or even take the initiative. Thanks for sharing this and thank you for all you do for the writing community.
