Winter Night--By Joann Grisetti--United States

Winter Night

observed at matins
a luminous aura and
frozen gibbous moon

on frozen snow
silver specked moonbeams
leave pale shadows

shadows of birches
stand as sentinels
the snowy crest

  1. Joann, the imagery in your poem is amazing! I just love the description of the birches standing as sentinels on a moonlit winter wonderland. Awesome! Best wishes, Carolyn Devonshire

  2. I enjoyed this, Joann. It is good to read others' feelings on the cold, but beautiful season we know as winter. Good read. Thanks for sharing.
