An Artist’s Notes
A broken heart is a poet’s
pen
with crimson shade of ink,
billowed wounded thoughts
that flow
gives a reader pause to
think.
Teardrops on canvas
is an artist’s palette paint
with every stroke as a story
line
from sinner to halo’d saint.
Mournful notes on paper
writes the composer’s
bleeding soul;
symphonic strains to a tended
ear
can be a somber bell that
tolls.
Expression comes in many
ways.
Oh form of painful spurt,
like a nerve that is
wonderful
until it starts to hurt.
Some broken branches on the
tree
are stories never told
of heartache that’s a shadow
cast
in the life we sculpt and
mold.
