Beginnings
By ayaz daryl
nielsen and Peggy Dugan French
Under my foot
The snap of a twig
Hollow as the wind
Restlessness
Moves me forward
Every curve in the trail
A welcome embrace
The day is singing
Come, we’ll cross
Our old boundaries
Exhaling peace
Rejoicing
Our new beginnings
Coming full circle, home awaits. So many adventures to encounter on the way...

DeleteFrom a tragedy in
ReplyDelete"Under my foot
The snap of a twig"
to moving on in
"Hollow as the wind
Restlessness
Moves me forward"
to a new start in
"Every curve in the trail
A welcome embrace"
to rediscovered hope in
"The day is singing
Come, we’ll cross
Our old boundaries
Exhaling peace"
to culminating in joy in
"Rejoicing
Our new beginnings"
this sequence works likes the movements of a symphony. Renku-esque in execution, it is short but nevertheless speaks of many emotions, and the white spaces in between add a lot of texture.
Thank you for this.
Thank you.
Deletealways good to hear from you, Raamesh
