Summer Music
a
morning bird
singing
in a poplar tree
comments
endlessly
her
happy chatter
riding a warm southern breeze
has
no winter in it
prelude
to rapture
spring’s brief recitative
then sweet summer music

David,
ReplyDeleteYou have captured the many wonderful sounds of summer. I also like the sound of rain tapping at my window at night, even if it is a thunderstorm.
