whisper--By jani johe webster--(In Memory-May 2013)--United States

jani johe shared her unique style and insight which left readers in awe.  But more importantly, she was a bright light in the writing community, always ready to support others in their journeys.  I am glad to have been able to call her my friend.  Thank you, Nila, for continuing to share your Mother’s poetry. Through her words she lives on.

whisper

whisper your dreams
to the trees
in a wooded place
and sing your songs to the stars

whisper with the wind
in an empty place
and laugh with the shells
in the sea

whisper your hopes
on a night of sorrows
and set them free
to a jewel-colored universe

From Nila Webster--"My beloved mother, wrote this poem many decades ago, and still it shines bright, a beacon of light for dark times."

  1. I am sorry for her loss, but ars longa vita brevis! What I like about this poem is its flow, and that whispers unite each verse.
