temple steps

____________

crow pheasant

this sunless dawn
____________

graveyard shift
the nodding taxi driver
keeps me awake
____________

Raamesh Gowri Raghavan moonlights as an award-winning copywriter by day and daylights as an award-wanting poet by night. He thinks he is funny, but his friends vehemently disagree.

  3. Raamesh,
I liked this. The third one made me laugh! It is a senryu, though, is it not?

  4. I love this, Raamesh:

    graveyard shift
    the nodding taxi driver
    keeps me awake

great resonance here [which is so important in haiku] between graveyard shift and the taxi gears ... Good one!
